This debate between R.HAKOHEN and Rod BRYANT BN was enlightening when failing to find common answers to both questions !
– What is the HEBREW MISSION i.e. “Light to the Nations” ?
for R.HAKOHEN it is the establishment of a J e w i s h State and Society in a l l Eretz Israel;
for BRYANT BN it is Jews to missionize the 70 peoples to Noahidism;
There is no contradiction between these both goals but to specify the details and to set priorities will not be easy. NWC-Congress will have to deal with this issue and to decide – hopefully to reconcile and harmonize both trajectories.
– How can Gentiles best support Jews to fulfill their Mission ?
R.HAKOHEN: by supporting the State of Israel by political&military means;
BRYANT BN: not clear on this issue and asked for guidance from Israel ….
R.HAKOHENs “political” position seems to be coherent and plausible and more promising (and halachically less dangerous !) than any “religious” approach. Hopefully NWC-Congress will decide on a distinct political character for the future “Global BN-Organization” !
