Paper Lions

Paper Lions

I hear you
yes
I told you I got it

there were two jackals in service to a lion
the lion had gone hunting in the forest and set a trap
there was a bull who walked upon the river and one day decided to walk into the forest
the lion’s trap sprang and the kingdom rejoiced
Here is our food!
But the bull cried out and the lion listened
And so they became friends

The lion and the bull talked about everything – the trees, the sky, the world beyond the next, the returning and the belonging

The more they talked, the less the lion hunted
the less the lion hunted, the less the kingdom cheered

and so the jackals sat and asked
what if we go hungry?

and so they spoke

My Master
My Master
from where does our help come?
