Beloved

one thing I ask

this only

do I seek

to dwell

in his house

his left hand

under my head

as we lie

in our garden

as we recline

on our bed

he transformed

my mourning

to dancing

out of my

mouth

a new song

of the one

whom

my soul loves

my shaking

heart

when

he knocks

upon

my door

the lock

was

never

really there

before

he murmurs

of

the seal

upon

my heart

his words

written

on the tablet

of my scars

many waters

cannot quench

us

but do not

awaken

the fire

until

it is desirous

i lie awake

and

seek him

he whom

my soul loves

i know

i know

we will find

each other

in time

for i

i am my beloved’s

and my beloved

is mine
