What Real Noaḥides Can Teach Ben Shapiro

What Real Noaḥides Can Teach Ben Shapiro
Gentiles simply aren't buying Ben Shapiro's claim that Noaḥides can engage in Christian practices.

Ben Shapiro, you should live to be a hundred and twenty but please step back and duck-out now before you drag your people down this “Judeo-Christian” rabbit hole from hell.

Excuse me if I wax condescending, as only a Jewish mother and art school drop-out can, but you are WAY over your head and out of your league.

Years ago, a rabbi once told me, “Ya know, some people can be too smart.”

I now understand what he meant.

Jews have many mitzvot and obligations but being the personal theo-therapist for Christendom is not one of them.

Ben, the mixed messages and inaccuracies coming out of both sides of your mouth regarding the Noaḥide laws and the prohibition against idolatry are causing anxiety among Christians, confusing your own Jewish people, and confounding the world at large.

I imagine the one group not duped by your verbal exploits would be the Noaḥides themselves.

Nothing is more authentic, grounded, pristine and spiritual than the seven Noaḥide commandments. Despite the thrashing you are receiving on social media, from hardcore men and women of the cross, there are no devils, anti-christs or end-of-days beasts involved here.

It’s neither creepy nor complex. These seven laws are foundational and primordial. And in these uncertain times there is nothing more settling, optimistic, reassuring, and needed than the Noaḥide path.

But these moral directives are hardly simplistic, as Shapiro would have you believe.

It’s definitively not about a fast-track to “heaven” for Christians: “So under Judaism, that means everyone who is not Jewish, you don’t have to convert. You get to heaven just by keeping those basic laws… Christians are Noaḥides by definition under Jewish law…”

So says Ben Shapiro (please don’t miss the imbecilic irony of a Jew offering fundamentalist Christian believers a pathway to heaven, as we all know where they believe Ben is going…).

As a result, YouTube and X exploded with the usual from the likes of Tucker Carlson and Candice Owens, followed by a whole lot of fire and brimstone preachers and commentators who joined in the free-for-all.

Stung by the insult to their intelligence, they began haphazardly and frantically pulling at, and pouring over, ancient Jewish texts (which they know not). And Shapiro got raked over the coals.

Never at a loss to respond, he grabbed the “shituf”” card and took an even deeper dive into the mud.

“I’m glad you believe in Jesus. You should keep going to church… America needs a Christian revival in order to survive.”

“According to the vast, vast, vast bulk of all Jews, there’s nothing in Christianity that violates any of the seven Noaḥide laws.”

[Note: “Shituf” is a contentious and lenient medieval construct originally formulated and accepted by numerous sages in the exile. The halakhic allowance benefited the Jewish communities residing in and desperately struggling to survive as guests in various countries where the host populations were Christian.]

There has always been one beast to contend with, known as “the elephant in the room.” Now Jews in the exile have, for generations, understandably tiptoed around it or tried to tame it. Some have opted to avoid uncomfortable events where the elephant may be present. Others are bold, courageous, and honest (or perhaps stupid) enough to confront the pachyderm head-on.

But HaShem only knows what induced Ben Shapiro to try and castrate a mammoth – with one-dimensional interpretations and generalizations – only to get exposed and trampled by his own soothing and reassuring words.

Shapiro, to put in mildly, paid short shrift to Noaḥide rule number one: “The prohibition against idolatry, in all forms…”

Shapiro should have considered that this issue would get thorny for those whose core theological doctrine is a belief and a worship in “god incarnate” and a fervent commitment to the mission of spreading that belief world-wide.

Shapiro totally missed the boat on what’s really making waves and causing untold dread among eschatologically minded Christians. They feel threatened by the growing numbers of world-wide adherents to the Noaḥide path because it signals an utter rejection of Christianity’s in-the-flesh lord and savior.

Ben Shapiro is a Jew in exile. His “Judeo-Christian” pandering and preaching certainly doesn’t reflect the Torah of his ancestors.

In September 2025, he announced that his media company, the Daily Wire, would donate one million dollars to Turning Point USA.

In an interview publicizing the donation, Shapiro featured two of the late Charlie Kirk’s goals: “He wanted to bring people back to christ, and bring people back to church and back to biblical values, and to keep the MAGA coalition together….”

Just wondering… is it permissible for a Jew to facilitate in the donation of one million dollars to bring people to idolatry, especially when so many young Jews were exposed to and likely influenced by the late Charlie Kirk’s faith-based campus crusades?

Ben, consider that perhaps it’s just plain wrong to sacrifice your people on the altar of something so intrinsically foreign and contrived. It’s also likely not acceptable to put yourself, your people, and many righteous Noaḥides on the line for the sake of so-called “Judeo-Christian” values.

And it’s very possible that the respected rabbinic leaders in the land of Israel, who are guiding sincere gentiles committed to the Noaḥide path, have standards and an understanding of these commandments that are more in line with those of your ancestors.

Seems living in exile may have sharpened your intellect at the terrible cost of dulling and eroding your soul’s “recoil” reflex.

Seems you’ve crossed every red line drawn by even Rav Yosef Soloveitchik z”l , the renowned architect of the Modern Orthodox Judaism you were raised with in the Diaspora. Rav Soloveitchik stridently opposed “Judeo-Christian” theological dialogue and interfaith religious endeavors, while encouraging cooperation “with the members of other faith communities in all fields of constructive human endeavor.”

“We relate ourselves to and at the same time withdraw from, we come close to and simultaneously retreat from the world of Esav. When the process of coming nearer and nearer is almost consummated, we immediately begin to retreat quickly into seclusion…, we engage in a movement of recoil and retrace our steps.” (Rav Soloveitchik, Confrontation)

As I’m writing this, the US Department of State posted the following on X with an accompanying video: “America, more than any other nation in world history, was shaped by the Christian tradition of spreading the gospel unto all nations. Join us in celebrating International Religious Freedom Day.”

This is kind of like saying: “welcome to the land of religious freedom, where we come to convert you.”

Look, Ben, they dropped the “Judeo” and just left “Christian tradition.”

Ya know Ben, here’s something you won’t find encoded in Torah or Talmudic law, but it’s nevertheless a thoughtful and somewhat chilling tradition. If a person drops a Torah scroll or witnesses such a disturbing occurrence, there are various suggested formulas for fasting for 40 days.

Seems you may have dropped something akin to your heritage.

Take a break Ben. Get back to yourself.

Get back to your source and get back in the boat. Nothing 40 days and 40 nights of introspection won’t cure. Let those who truly understand when to make waves and how to calm the waters do the talking.

With love,
“Noaḥ”
