The Role of the Fourth Empire

Role of the 4th Empire
From the perspective of the Jewish meta-narrative, it's not possible for any US president to genuinely support a strong & independent Israel.

What are rightist American figures like Nick Fuentes getting right and wrong about Israel’s relationship with the United States? And how do we see that being

Is there any validity to claims made by Fuentes that many Jews understand the US-Israel relationship within the context of an ancient conflict between Yaakov (Israel) and Esav (Edom)?

Israel’s ancient sages identify Esav/Edom with the Roman Empire, Christianity, and Western civilization.

The Maharal of Prague teaches that the struggle between Yaakov and Esav represent cosmic forces in Creation – forces that transcend the normal course of personality development and existed within them even while in their mother’s womb.

The Talmud teaches (Megilla 6a) that Israel and Edom cannot be simultaneously dominant on the world stage. When one civilization rises the other must fall.

If Israel’s dramatic rebirth in the modern age actually signals the decline of Western civilization, it should make sense that every US president – no matter how “pro-Israel” his rhetoric – has felt an impulse to limit Israel’s size and strength.

  • Thank you for outlining and sharpening the fundamental antagonism Israel vs. Edom=West ! But you overdid it when putting Christianity (~Roman Church) into the tradition line of Greek/Roman Paganism to Modern Enlightment. The Old Church was an adversary of Hellenism and tried to emulate Israel – of course she was a failed Noahide enterprise and for that overcome by “enlighted” and “scientific” Atheism …. egal: Christianity is dead and the match is now Israel vs. Edom=Nihilism.
