As elections are coming to an end, your support is both CRUCIAL and URGENT. To those of you who are sober enough to process this, I’ll tell you what the major differences are between my slate VISION and the other slates running in the elections to the World Zionist Congress. Besides the obvious differences,
* We were the first movement on North American campuses to accurately frame Jewish liberation as an indigenous rights struggle
* We actively cooperate with and express solidarity with other global aboriginal groups, just liberation movements and civil rights struggles
* Despite being the second smallest faction in the last World Zionist Congress, we successfully passed a resolution formally declaring the Jewish people indigenous to the Land of Israel
* After the last congress, we didn’t just talk about “big bad BDS” – We took Zionist money and actually PURCHASED properties in Judea and Samaria
* We’re the only movement able to inspire young Jews from both the left AND right to become active characters in Jewish history
* We’re the only WZO slate actively engaged in grassroots direct peace work WITHOUT selling out
* We’re the only slate in the game that opposes foreign aid while promoting TRUE Israeli independence & a healthier (non-abusive) US-Israel relationship
*We’re traditional without remaining static and progressive without betraying our ethics or ideals – all without contradiction
What IS the obvious difference?
VISION is the one slate that has CONSISTENTLY opposed the division of our homeland or any sort of foreign rule in any part of Eretz Yisrael. We were against the expulsion of Jews from Gush Katif and we continue to work with the refugees. We’re against a Palestinian state not because of terrorism or security, resources or the futility of negotiations but because we demand Jewish independence in our entire land.
We continue to oppose foreign efforts to divide our land in the Donald Trump era. We openly oppose the Trump Plan for the same reason we oppose Oslo. We remain principled and consistent.
We really have unique tools and real solutions that reach audiences no one else can and unite circles where others see no common ground. I’ve been actively involved with the VISION movement for 13 years. In terms of our focus and our mission – inspiring students and young professionals to become active characters in Jewish history, our methods are not only the most effective, they’re the only methods that work.
We currently have no major donors and no large organizations backing us. But, we do have what all the other slates running are looking for. Anti-Semitism, assimilation, apathy, lack of Jewish engagement, etc. We HAVE the cure but we don’t have the means. Give us your support so we can have a voice at the table. With broader influence, we can truly bring about a better future.
