The glorious light is shining brightly
Hiding in the heavy folds of darkness
wandering blindly in exile far too long
Our eyes barely able to perceive
In this era of redemption
Too slowly, sight returns
The luminous glow of our skin and soul still undiscovered
As we bask in the rays but struggle to absorb them
Like a wick calls to a flame
The vessel formed by the land and her people
beckons for the light to draw near
Beseeching it to drive out the shadows and rest amongst us
Emanating radiance over creation forevermore
