The Path to Salvation

Path to Salvation

The path to salvation
Is paved with a thousand stones
Carried by a thousand men
Shaped by experience
Who struggle to make the pieces fit
And through this struggle advance the path

The path to salvation
Is lit with a hundred candles
Meticulously carved
Ignited with difficulty
To channel a greater light
Into the hearts of man
And guide them step-by-step along the ground

The path to salvation
Winds through dense forest and boggy marsh
Is replete with sharp rocks and boulders
But one must rely
On the memory of lightning
The instance of clarity
When he stood at the foot of the mountain
And fight with the strength of a soldier
Sustained by the mind of a poet

The path to salvation
Is never seen the same way
By any two people
But one must engage in dialogue
And walk with a confident stride and humble spirit
If he shall uncover her stones
And come closer to the true path
