Since 2019, “Goyslop” has been a popular meme lampooning fast, mass-produced, and/or processed foods while implying a conspiracy in which Jews are serving “the goyim” these destructive diets to weaken them and/or extract profit.
Goyslop is so outlandishly ridiculous, even by the standards of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, and should be sooner considered shitposting – the proliferation of low-effort, purposely vulgar, offensive, or absurd content – than a formal conspiracy. Food processing and the fast food industry are a far cry from Hollywood or “the banks” and there aren’t many things less “Jewish” than a cheeseburger.
The gloyslop phenomenon does, however, expose something deeper in Western society – its stubborn refusal to accept any accountability for the consequences of its own brazenness and hedonism, instead blaming the Jew. This is true of the far more mainstream conspiratorial Great Replacement Theory, where the Jew is blamed for the refusal by Europeans and white Americans to replace their own population. This was also true of the “Stab-in-the-Back” myth, when Erich Ludendorf and later Adolf Hitler blamed the Jew for Germany’s defeat in World War I.
This is true of Esav, the archetypical progenitor of the West, who blamed Yaakov for stealing his birth right, when it was he himself who had sold it to his brother for soup, to satisfy his momentary hunger.
From Esav until today, that brazenness and hedonism have remained core pillars in the ethos of the West. Yet that same brazenness prevents them from taking accountability for their own consequences. Instead they blame the other: the Eternal Other – the Jew.
This is projection, an escape for admitting fault, a brazenness too big to fail, a hedonism too drowned to selfish ecstasy to reconsider. The truth is that Goyslop is not just for but by goyim; the disgusting, cheap trejf that is fast and processed food is a uniquely American creation, born of a brazen disregard for one’s own health and the health of others and a hedonistic pursuit of profit and positive taste bud sensations.
Goyslop is more than food, but the worst, most self-destructive excesses of the West’s brazen hedonism.
This is what is so painful about the Goyslop Zionist, that hasbara activist who tries to “make the case” for Israel by identifying it with the worst excesses of Western culture. In trying to create a sense of shared identity and therefore destiny with the Western audience, the Goyslop Zionist instead reminds him of his own guilt, which he can now transfer onto Israel to again avoid accountability for his own self-destructive behavior.
The Goyslop Zionist must be rejected. Our mandate for once again becoming a political body in our land is not our capability to replicate the worst excesses of another civilization, but rather our ability to offer a better path. Not self-destruction but tikkun. Construction. Perfection.
