Blue Springs

Blue Springs

As the fingers move and the heart quivers,
Attached,
Attached,
To her ever being.

The sounds of a great symphony,
An allure of victory.
Slowly feeling the gentle beats of the drum,
Knowing what is true connection.

How did that one song go?
Howling to the moon,
Yet whispering all the same,
A vision of the future.

The claps,
Cheers,
The ensuing lullaby,
All to the background of a faint cry.

Children jump,
The earth quakes just a little.
My head moves backwards,
Now it feels just like the beginning.

Time and space and all it contains,
Just for a simple wish.
To love,
To laugh.

Shouting to the heavens,
Only this time it feels much closer,
Your ear a short distance away.
Was it always this way?

By my side it all seems slower,
More real than ever before.
Then I blinked and it all disappeared,
Did I see anything at all?

But I closed my eyes this time,
Expecting to see darkness.
Instead it was clear like a blue spring,
You were here all along.
